One Sight-Seeing Tour to be chosen from the three options listed below: |
Option 1
Recife and Olinda city tour (Tuesday, July 08): An excursion showing the highlights of Recife and Olinda.
- The tour begins with a panorama of Recife, including the three islands (Recife, Santo Antônio and Boa Vista) that make up the city centre, the bridge of Mauricio de Nassau, Praia da Republica (flanked by the Governorâs Palace, Santa Isabel Theatre and the Law Courts). We will stop at the Casa da Cultura, a fine building dating from the 19th century; originally a prison, it is now a centre for regional culture, where a variety of craft work and local delicacies can be found.
- In Olinda we will visit Alto da Sé, where the churches of Sé and Misericórdia are located, and stop at belvedere where a breathtaking view of the twin cities can be seen. In Carnival, joyful revelers parade down the streets, after following the traditional giant puppets, like the Homem da Meia-noite (Midnight Manâ), or joining in the towns colorful carnival troupes, such as Pitombeira dos Quatro Cantos and Elefante. Since 1982, Olinda has been included by UNESCO in the World Natural and Cultural Heritage Monuments list.
Option 2
The beaches of Cabo de Santo Agostinho (Tuesday, July 08):
- These beaches are undoubtedly among the highlights of the southern coast of Pernambuco. Renowned for their beauty and warm, crystal-clear waters, they were once a refuge for adventure travelers seeking peace and quiet in the little fishing villages. Following a buggy ride to the beaches of Gaibu and Calhetas, we will take a catamaran trip around the beaches of ParaÃso and Francês and into the mangroves.
Option 3
Carneiros Beach (Thursday, July 10):
- Situated only 40 km (~25 miles) south of Porto de Galinhas, Carneiros is one of the local favorite beaches for water sports. Its calm and shallow waters are ideal for diving, and the broad sand beach areas perfect for playing and sunbathing. The dense coconut groves make Carneiros a fine example of a typical Northeast Brazilian beach.
Please Note:
- All sight-seeing tours leave Enotel at 8 am and return at 6 pm;
- We suggest the use of light clothing, sun block protection and comfortable shoes;
- Changes from the initial choice can be made at the Luck Viagens desk, at the main Enotel entrance, up to 24 hours before the indicated departure time;
- All scheduled sight-seeing tours are subject to changes or cancellation according to prevailing weather conditions.
